Mission and Service Fund - The United Church of Canada

The Mission and Service (M&S) Fund is a fund bankrolled by voluntary donations so that the mission of the United Church of Canada and its partners around the world can be sustained and empowered for further ministry.

Below I have completed three lists.  The first list is a chart listing the M&S dollars raised/United Church of Canada member by conference.  The second list is a list of all of those presbyteries in the United Church who have raised $70/United Church member or more for the M&S Fund.  The final list is one that shows the presbyteries that have raised more than $1 million from within the presbytery and those approaching that amount.

A Breakdown of the Conferences

So, the most notable thing to mention is that Toronto Conference is not proportionally the highest giving conference.  They do give the most in terms of actual raised dollars; but it is BC Conference that raises the most money proportionally at $79.95, just a smidgen higher than Toronto's $78.53.  Also, I would also make mention that the status of All Native Circle is significantly different than the rest of the conferences.  Every conference in the UCC is geographically based, except All Native Circle, which includes aboriginal and First Nations UCC people from locations within most of these other conferences regions, except BC Conference where First Nations, aboriginal, and Native peoples are part of BC Conference.
